Children’s Charities of the Midlands gives $138,500 to Non-Profit Organizations That Benefit Children
Children’s Charities of the Midlands is proud to announce that their fundraising efforts for 2023-2024 have raised $138,500, demonstrating its commitment to supporting the community and aiding local children in need.
Funds are raised throughout the year during three primary events: a polar plunge in January, a community 5k in the Fall, and a corn hole tournament in the Spring. A golf tournament is new for the 2024-2025 fundraising year.
“We are thrilled to have continued to increase our total amount of funds raised each year,” said Gary Matthews, founding member of the ChippenWhales and head charity volunteer. “The beneficiaries are all dedicated to helping children right here in the midlands and we love knowing the impact our donations make.”
The donations will be presented on April 23, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. at the Lake Carolina Community Management Building to over 15 local charitable organizations.

Children’s Charities of the Midlands is a nonprofit organization founded in Lake Carolina in 2000 that focuses on bettering the health, education, inclusiveness and general welfare of local children in need. All proceeds fundraised at Children’s Charities of the Midlands events benefit selected causes with no portion being withheld to fund administrative or other operating costs of the organization.
