Children’s Charities of the Midlands to Gift $139k to Help Children In Need

Children’s Charities of the Midlands are proud to announce fundraising efforts for the 2024-2025 year. They have raised $139,000, demonstrating their commitment to supporting the community and aiding local children in need.
Funds are raised throughout the year during multiple events: a corn hole tournament in the Spring. A golf tournament and 5k Turkey Trot in the fall, and then the popular ChippenWhales Plunge Team Brunch Party in conjunction with The Lake Carolina Polar Bear Plunge in January. The organization also benefits from the Lake Carolina Oyster Roast, and the Lake Carolina Wine tasting, which have also become amazing events in the Northeast community.
“We are thrilled to have continued to increase our total amount of funds raised each year,” said Gary Matthews, founding member of the Chippenwhales and head charity volunteer. “The beneficiaries are all incredible folks that dedicate their lives/careers to helping children with special needs or are undergoing poverty conditions.” Gary continued by saying, “We love seeing how funds are impacting these children through these great organizations.”
